Read this before you launch or trade anything here. Nothing on kontract.fun is investment advice, and nothing here is a promise of any outcome.
Tokens launched here can go to zero
Most tokens launched on launchpads lose most or all of their value, often within hours. A token has no cash flows, no assets and no claim on anything; its price is what the next buyer pays. Only put in what you can afford to lose entirely.
Creators and other traders
Anyone can launch a token. A creator can hold a large share, sell it at any time, abandon the token, or promote it dishonestly. A creator earns a share of every trade's fee, so a creator's interest is trading volume, not your result. Other traders may use bots, coordinate, or trade against you. Rankings, badges, "trending" and profit figures on the site are computed from chain data and can be gamed.
Bonding curves and liquidity
New tokens trade on a bonding curve: the price rises as tokens are bought and falls as they are sold, and a large sale moves the price a lot. Liquidity can be thin, especially early and late in a token's life; you may not be able to sell at the price shown, or at all, at the size you want. Slippage you set is a limit, not a guarantee of a fill inside it, and a failed transaction still costs gas.
Fees, anti-snipe and taxes
Every trade pays the fee of the platform the token trades on (pump.fun, StonkFun, bonk.fun, Pons or Flap), set in that platform's contracts; some add a much higher fee in the first seconds after a launch, and creators may set a tax on trades. The create page shows them as we understand them, but the platform decides them and may change them. They are taken on chain and none is refundable.
Smart contracts and chains
Tokens are created and traded by third-party platform contracts (pump.fun, StonkFun, bonk.fun, Pons and Flap, and the pools they graduate to), which we do not control and cannot change. Contracts can have bugs, chains can halt or reorganise, RPC providers can fail, and wallets can be compromised. A platform can change its contracts, fees or rules, pause, or shut down. Holder rewards and fee splits a platform offers are run by that platform, not by us, and are not guaranteed (terms).
Tokenized stocks and ETFs
A token paired with a tokenized stock is not the stock. The stock token is issued by a third party under its own terms, tracks the stock's price only as well as that issuer and its markets allow, can trade at a premium or discount to the stock, may be thinly traded, and may be frozen, delisted or redeemed by its issuer. These tokens are not offered to US persons. A token paired with one carries the risks of both.
Vanity addresses
A chosen address is cosmetic. It does not make a token safer, better or more valuable, and it is easy for someone else to grind a similar-looking address for a different token: always check the full address, never the first or last few characters. Ordered addresses are delivered on an estimate, not a guarantee, and a paid order that is not used is not refunded after delivery.
Regulation and tax
Rules about tokens differ by country and change. A token you launch or trade may be treated as a security, a commodity, a collectible or something else where you live; it is your responsibility to know. Trading gains and referral rewards may be taxable. We do not report or withhold on your behalf and we do not give tax advice.
No insurance, no recourse
There is no deposit insurance, no investor compensation scheme and no way to reverse a transaction on chain. If you send funds to the wrong address, sign a transaction you did not understand, or lose your keys, nobody — including us — can recover them.
